There’s no doubt that your teen’s driver education is an extremely important matter. The #1 killer of teens in this country is motor vehicle crashes (in fact, it’s been this way for over 50 years), so it’s no surprise that parents like you take their teen’s driver education seriously, since it is a serious matter.
However, taking it seriously doesn’t mean you have to be serious all the time. Take this opportunity to have some fun with your teen and enjoy the process. Did your teen make a goof? Did you? Have a good laugh about it! Driving collision-free is seriously important, but you can have fun with the learning process.
We all remember how we learned to drive, and while we may not remember every detail, we certainly remember how we felt about it. You want your teen to have a good feeling when they think back on the time they learned to drive with you, so take advantage of those opportunities to make it fun when they occur.
