Wouldn’t it be nice if you could control the other drivers on the road with your mind? Yes, it would, but you can’t. What you can do, though, is influence other drivers on the road with what you can control, and that’s your own behavior.
You can control how much space you leave in front of your vehicle. You can control how you react to a tailgater (hint: just ease off the gas and they’ll have to back off). By controlling the space around your vehicle, by controlling how you react to changes in the traffic scene, you can affect the options that other drivers have around you.
So, while you can’t actually control other drivers, you can affect the drivers around you with what you can control: your own actions.
