The holiday season is on the horizon and for most of us that means a whole lot of rushing around to get things done. We’re rushing to get the shopping done, we’re rushing to get the decorations up, or we’re rushing to get the meals planned and prepared, etc.

There is at least one thing that you definitely don’t want to rush, though, and that’s your teen’s driver education. Specifically, I’m talking about the in-vehicle training. That’s where a big hurry can cause big problems.

You need to take your time with the in-vehicle training, and remember that there’s no rush. You want your teen to master all the skills they need to in one area of instruction (Parking Lot) before moving on to the next (Neighborhood). It doesn’t matter how long it takes to do it, just as long as it gets done completely and correctly.

When your teen finally does get her driver license you want to be thoroughly sure that she’s ready to drive, and the only way for that to occur is to thoroughly take your time.
