The Boy Scouts of America have done a lot for helping shape young boys into great men, and it turns out they can do a lot to help shape you and your teen into collision-free drivers. What do the Boy Scouts have that you can apply to your driver education? I’m talking about the Boy Scout Promise: “On my honor, I will do my best, to do my duty…”

Last week, we talked about the first part of that promise “On my honor”. Today, we continue our series on this with part two: “I will do my best”. We all want the best for our kids, and it really starts with us to give them the best. Give your teen your best effort when teaching her to drive. Expect her to give her best effort when learning how to drive. As a teenager, driving is probably the most dangerous thing she’ll ever do, so this is not the time to accept mediocrity.

Do your best, expect your teen to do her best, and combined with Driver Ed in a Box®, the best parent taught course available, your teen will become the best and safest driver she can be.
