Most everyone associates driving, getting a driver’s license with freedom. Not as many associate driving with the enormous responsibility that comes with that freedom to drive.

If you want more freedom, you have to be willing to accept more responsibility. There’s the rub for most folks because that responsibility includes following rules (rules that you see others breaking), being patient (especially when you’re in a hurry), and having the discipline to separate yourself from the pack.

Our founding fathers separated themselves from the pack – they literally put their lives on the line for what they believed. Is it too much to ask ourselves to commit to doing the things we know we need to do in order to drive collision-free? Not really.

After all, those who sacrificed their lives (and continue to put their lives on the line) for us to enjoy our freedoms, no doubt would prefer that their sacrifice mean something.
